Gayle Maslow is a research assistant at Bridges. She was a middle and high school mathematics teacher for a dozen years, first at a bilingual school in Cuernavaca, Mexico and then at Vanguard High School in New York City. Gayle is currently working on her dissertation in the Urban Education department of CUNY Graduate Center, with a focus on the relationality of teaching. She has taught math methods courses over the last five years at City College and Brooklyn College, and is excited to come on board at Bridges to support the team in their work providing curriculum and professional development for schools serving SIFE and Newcomer populations.
